On July 25, 2026, nearly 3,400 runners and walkers participated in the 17th annual Run to Home Base presented by RTX in person at historic Fenway Park and virtually around the country, helping to raise over $4 million in support of our mission to heal the invisible wounds of war for Veterans, Service Members, Military Families and Families of the Fallen at no out-of-pocket cost to them — both of which are record-breaking numbers!

7 a.m. | Opening Ceremony

The Run to Home Base began with a moving opening ceremony honoring Adaptive Warriors, emceed by Tom Caron, Host, Red Sox Studio Coverage, NESN. Featured speakers included:

• Juan Valdez, Home Base Intensive Clinical Program Graduate
• Retired Lieutenant General Walter E. Piatt, Chief Executive Officer, Wounded Warrior Project

8 a.m. | Run to Home Base

We were honored to have the lead wave of participants be Adaptive Warriors. As these Heroes and our runners and walkers crossed “home base,” Karen Anderson, Investigative Reporter, WCVB NewsCenter 5, conducted numerous participant interviews, all of which were displayed on the jumbotron.

1 p.m. | Pregame Reception and Ceremony

In the afternoon, we once again honored Adaptive Veterans with a pregame reception in the 521 Overlook and poignant on-field ceremony before the Red Sox played the Toronto Blue Jays, an AL East rival.
