Creative expression can be a powerful coping skill to reduce stress, build community and support overall well-being. The Home Base Weekly Art Hour offers a welcoming, virtual space to relax, connect with others and spend time engaging in creative activities.
No art experience is necessary to participate, and most projects can be completed with basic materials like paper and a pen/pencil. Each session includes a simple art prompt to help spark ideas and make it easy to get started. Participants are also welcome to work on their own creative projects, if they prefer.
Sessions are offered in 12-week cycles, giving participants the opportunity to explore a variety of projects and build a sense of continuity and community over time. These sessions are offered on the following schedule:
- –Winter session: Late December to early March
- –Spring session: Mid-March to early June
- –Summer session: Mid-June to early September
- –Fall session: Mid-September to early December
This offering is open to Veterans, Service Members and their adult family members (18 years or older).
Please note that this is not a therapy group. It is a relaxed, virtual art space focused on creativity and connection. Participants are welcome to engage at their own pace and sharing artwork is always optional.
