Resiliency Programs
The Home Base Resiliency Programs are 6-session educational mind-body courses that help Veterans, Service Members, Military Families and Families of the Fallen manage their stress more effectively.
Building resiliency for a healthy life
Developed by Home Base in collaboration with the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (BHI), Resilient Warrior and Resilient Family are six-session educational mind-body courses that help Veterans and Service Members and Military-connected Family Members – including members of Families of the Fallen – manage their stress more effectively.
Resilient Youth, developed by the Massachusetts General Hospital Child Resiliency Program and BHI, is also a six-session educational mind-body course that helps Military-connected Children and Teens in grades 1-12 manage their stress more effectively.
The fundamental principle of these three programs is that while people may not be able to control stressful events, they can learn to control their response to stress and, in turn, improve their ability to adapt more effectively to stress.
