Thank you, Ross Zafonte, DO!
CHARLESTOWN, Mass. – Home Base extends its deepest gratitude and heartfelt congratulations to Ross Zafonte, DO, who is returning to the University of Missouri (MU) as its School of Medicine’s executive vice dean more than 30 years after completing his fellowship in research enrichment at MU.
Home Base is thrilled that Dr. Zafonte will remain with us in a continued leadership role, as our national director for traumatic brain injury.
Dr. Zafonte is a founding faculty member of Home Base and has played an integral role in the development and success of clinical and research operations, particularly within our brain injury program, since 2009. In early October 2024, Home Base presented him with its prestigious Major General Joseph Warren, MD, Award. Dr. Zafonte is the first Home Base team member to receive this honor, which is presented to individuals who have made the most significant, positive impacts on Home Base.
Our continued relationship with Dr. Zafonte is a testament to the passion and commitment he has shown to Home Base and the Veterans we serve for the past 15 years. His expertise is essential to the development of both our brain injury program and innovative research efforts.
Dr. Zafonte’s ongoing leadership will be invaluable in driving forward Home Base’s mission to provide world-class care and research for those affected by brain injuries.
