Description: Come join us at Mudflat Pottery to create in clay! You’ll have so much fun learning different handbuilding techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab to make your creation unique. Each participant can keep 1 finished piece. For younger children, we expect that the parent will assist his/her child to make the project. Please note that clay needs to be fired in the kiln to become a permanent finished product. Therefore, the pieces will be available 4 weeks after the workshop.

The event will be on Sunday, January 22nd from 2-4 pm at Mudflat Pottery School, 81 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02145. Children over 5 years of age are welcome in the studio. Each parent/caregiver can register up to 3 children to take the class with them. The studio is wheelchair accessible. Street parking is free on Sundays and there is also a public pay parking lot opposite the Orange Line Sullivan Square T station at 1 Broadway, an 8 minute walk to Mudflat. Register by Monday, January 9th, at 5 pm for a chance to attend!
