Sights and sounds from 2026 9/11 Service Project, as Home Base and Project 351 honor 25th anniversary of September 11 attacks

On Friday, September 11, 2026, the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Home Base, alongside Project 351, hosted its annual 9/11 Service Project presented by Hanscom Federal Credit Union Charitable Foundation on the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway in downtown Boston.

The event kicked off with a speaking program featuring:
- Michael Allard, Chief Operating Officer, Home Base
- Peter Rice, President and Chief Executive Officer, Hanscom Federal Credit Union
- Christie Coombs, whose husband, Jeff, sadly passed away on September 11, 2001
- Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey
- Former United States Ambassador to Austria Victoria Reggie Kennedy
- Massachusetts’ 7th Congressional District Representative Ayanna Pressley
- Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey

Afterward, our distinguished guests, Project 351 ambassadors and corporate volunteers honored the National Day of Service and Remembrance by walking the tribute garden of memorial stones, which remembers those from Massachusetts who were lost 25 years ago and our Fallen Service Members who passed away as a result of their post-9/11 service, and building over 1,200 care packages for and writing letters of support to Veterans and Service Members at home and abroad.
