$400K+ Raised From Veterans Day Golf Tournaments to Support Floridian Veterans, Service Members and Their Families.

The month of November 2022 brought the southwest Florida golf community out in record numbers to kick off a season of support for Veterans, Service Members, Military Families and Families of the Fallen who rely on Home Base Florida to heal their invisible wounds.

Home Base Florida benefitted from four Veterans Day-themed golf tournaments at The Nest Golf Club in Bonita Springs, Heritage Palms Golf and Country Club in Fort Myers and Naples Lakes Country Club and Tiburon Golf Club in Naples.

Through their collective efforts, the tournaments raised more than $400,000, which will be used to provide lifesaving clinical care, health and wellness programs and social events that offer the opportunity for Veterans and their Families to rebuild the bonds lost when they transition from Military service.

Additionally, more than 780 golfers were exposed to the Home Base mission, to heal the invisible wounds of war. Golfers were given the unique opportunity to hear and play golf with Veterans who participated in Home Base Florida programs and Home Base Florida staff members, several of whom are combat Veterans as well.

The clubs understand the importance of being there for Veterans, and their Families, when they return home. Home Base Florida is tremendously grateful for the time and investment of each club’s leaders, members and tournament committees. The resources generated through these events will touch the lives of hundreds of Veterans, Service Members and their Families in 2023.
