After 30 years of service in the Marine Corps and being deployed 7 times – including facing combat in the infamous Battle of Fallujah – Master Gunnery Sergeant (MGySgt) Ismael Sagredo faced ongoing challenges at home.

“There isn’t a day where I don’t reflect back on something I experienced. Something will always trigger it”.

At the insistence of his wife, Ismael sought help for the challenges he was experiencing from the invisible wounds of war. He completed the Intensive Clinical Program at Home Base and found exactly what he needed – hope and healing.

“The military is black and white. There is no gray. If there is, we eliminate it. Home Base is going to help you with the gray. You can function, open up, and take care of yourself”.

Ismael now thrives with tools and support he received at Home Base.
