Viola Hu is a Data Analyst at Home Base. She graduated from M.S.E in Data Science at the University of Pennsylvania and earned bachelor’s degree in double major, Computational Math and Statistics, from the University of Waterloo. She brings strong technical depth in statistical analysis and data visualization, paired with a practical understanding of how data is actually used by clinicians and program leaders.

Before joining Home Base, Viola gained several internship experiences in data engineering and analytics. She translated technical results into intuitive visual narratives, which is an approach that aligns closely with Home Base’s mission-driven, interdisciplinary environment. She enjoys solving problems and believes data is most powerful when it directly improves people’s lives.
