Soyeong Kim, PhD

Dr. Soyeong Kim is a licensed counseling psychologist at Home Base providing care in the ICP, family programs, and outpatient clinic. Dr. Kim completed her undergraduate study in South Korea and earned her Ph.D. in counseling psychology from the University of Akron. After completing her internship at Johns Hopkins University, she pursued post-doctoral research fellowship at Alpert Medical School of Brown University specializing in the assessment of ecological measures of risks for PTSD. Dr. Kim has extensive experiences providing treatment for stress and trauma-related disorders and utilizing evidence-based protocols including CPT, PE, and ERRT. At Home Base in addition to clinical services, Dr. Kim provides clinical training for graduate students and serves as a member of Diversity Committee.
