At Bellevue Hospital, in addition to providing clinical and crisis intervention services, she engaged in community work offering workshops on the prevention of sexual violence, techniques for bystander intervention, and trainings on delivering trauma-informed services. She has completed post-graduate training in somatic techniques to integrate body work in trauma therapy and is specifically interested in the mind-body connection. Luiza also speaks Portuguese and Spanish due to her background in multicultural communities.  Here at Home Base Luiza has the privilege of serving veterans and their families in the Intensive Clinical Program.
