Kurt Loiseau
Kurt is a fourth-year counseling psychology doctoral student at Boston College. His previous clinical experiences include short-term, evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, mindfulness) and longer-form, relational therapies (e.g., psychodynamic, attachment). He offers an integrative style that adapts to the client’s needs and utilizes the necessary skills. Kurt’s therapeutic approach can be described as collaborative and transparent where he aims to be aligned in his client’s treatment goals as well as clear in the direction of sessions. He is eager to work with service members navigating a range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, relational difficulties, and grief. Kurt is especially interested in Home Base’s mission of supporting veterans, along with their families, to find hope and healing in ways that best suit them. Originally from Orlando and a proud Florida Gator, he enjoys recharging by the water at the beach or hiking the mountains of New England.
