Jessica joined the US Navy in 1997 and served seven years as a Hospital Corpsman.  While stationed in Naples Italy she was deployed during the Kosovo War to provide medical support in country.   After discharge she followed her husband’s Naval career, had her daughter and worked as a Preschool Teacher.  Jessica completed her B.A. in Health Care Administration and in Emergency and Disaster Management in 2015.  In 2017, she completed her Master of Science in Homeland Security with a focus on Disaster Mitigation and Terrorism.
