Christopher Vidaurre
Christopher Vidaurre was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on September 11, 2006. He served nearly 13 years in both active-duty and reserve components, completing four deployments and two mobilizations with the Wounded Warrior Battalion East at the San Antonio Military Medical Center and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Beginning in 2016, Christopher continued serving service members, veterans, and their families at the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Endeavors in San Antonio, TX. Where he was part of the team to start the very first Cohen Clinic as the Outreach Coordinator. He eventually became the Outreach Director, where he engaged with the veteran community, ensured access to quality care, and advocated for the services and treatment they deserve.
In September 2021, Christopher joined the George W. Bush Institute in Dallas, TX as the Senior Program Manager for the Health and Well-Being portfolio. During his four and a half years at the Bush Institute, Christopher helped build Check-In, a mental and brain health program powered by the Veteran Wellness Alliance. Through Check-In, veterans, service members, and their families can access mental and brain health services across all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico through a single point-of-access system.
Christopher will serve at the Regional Associate Director for Texas, in Houston, TX. In Texas, he will help launch Home Base Texas and continue to serve the military and veteran community through Home Base’s regional and national programs.
Christopher is the proud father of two daughters and one granddaughter. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
