April Bravo-Flores

April grew up in Chelsea, MA, and graduated from Chelsea High School. During high school, she participated in community service work and later became Vice President of the Interact Club, a Rotary-sponsored service club. Service work encouraged her to recognize and develop leadership. The Rotary Interact motto, Service above Self, translates to her excitement and commitment to join the Home Base Team. She cares deeply for serving Veterans and their families respectfully.

Before joining Home Base, she worked in a retail pharmacy (3 years) as a pharmacy technician and earned an immunizer certification during the COVID-19 pandemic. This experience allowed her to explore and gain valuable insight into healthcare. While also strengthening her customer service skills alongside a skilled team of healthcare professionals.

April is a Suffolk University alumni with a Bachelor of Science degree. She has a major in Psychology, with a double minor in Philosophy and Public Relations. She worked in the Philosophy Department at Suffolk University (4 years) and helped organize department events. These events provided students and professors the chance to speak about topics outside of classrooms (Q & A panels, debates, and presentations that discussed politics, economics, and philosophy). April’s fields of study taught her valuable critical thinking and communication skills. She is honored to join the Home Base team.
