Amy Bonneau, MSW, LICSW

Amy Bonneau, MSW, LICSW, brings a rare and powerful combination of clinical expertise and

firsthand military service to her work with Veterans, Service Members, and their families. Amy

currently serves as a Behavioral Health Officer in the Massachusetts Army National Guard

(MAARNG) and has dedicated both her military and civilian careers to ensuring that those who

serve receive the highest quality behavioral health care.

Amy earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Vermont in 2008. Following her

deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan in 2010 with the Vermont Army National Guard, Amy moved

to Boston where she attended the Boston University School of Social Work earning her Master of

Social Work in 2013. While at Boston University she completed the Trauma Certificate Program

and continued her clinical focus on trauma by completing the Simmons College School of Social

Work Post-Master’s Clinical Certificate in the Relational and Multi-Contextual Treatment of

Trauma in 2015.

Over the course of her career, Amy has held clinical and leadership roles spanning the full

spectrum of military behavioral health. She served as a Readjustment Counselor at both the

Boston and Worcester Vet Centers, providing evidence-based individual, group, and couples

therapy. In addition to her current role as a Behavioral Health Officer, Amy has served in a range

of military leadership positions including Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Company

Commander.

Amy is deeply passionate about meeting Veterans and Service Members where they are — in

their communities, their relationships, and their lives — and is honored to bring that commitment

to the Home Base team.
