Sights and sounds from powerful screening of “In Waves and War”
On April 17, 2025, Home Base was honored to benefit from a powerful screening of In Waves and War at the historic Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, Mass.

Directed by award-winning filmmakers Jon Shenk and Bonni Cohen, In Waves and War offers an intimate look into the lives of retired Navy SEALs and their Families as they discover the transformative power of psychedelic-assisted therapies to combat treatment-resistant posttraumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries and severe depression.
The documentary, which premiered at the prestigious Telluride Film Festival, features the journey of Veterans Exploring Treatment Solutions, or VETS, co-founders Marcus and Amber Capone and two SEAL teammates, Matty Roberts and DJ Shipley, as they navigate the challenges of post-combat life and their quest to bring healing to the Veteran community.
The screening was immediately followed by a Q&A session with Shenk, Capone (Marcus) and Roberts, hosted by Boston Globe Media Co-Owner and Chief Executive Officer Linda Henry.

Home Base extends a special thank you to the host committee, which was headed by Suffolk Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John Fish and In Waves and War Executive Producer Peter Palandjian, and included Geralyn Dreyfous, Eliza Dushku-Palandjian, Rodney Frias, Michael Gordon, John and Linda Henry, Rowan Reilly, Sean and Jennifer Reilly, Dr. Jerry Rosenbaum, Jean Tempel, and Tom Werner.
The popular event was attended by more than 400 community leaders and members, and has raised over $800,000 to support Home Base — and counting! You can help us reach our $1 million fundraising goal by clicking the button below:
