NEEDHAM, MA — On November 9, 2023, WCVB Channel 5 partnered with Home Base on the 5th annual day-long “Helping Veterans Heal” televent in honor of Veterans Day.

The televent began at 6am during the EyeOpener newscast and ran until 8pm, with periodic live reports throughout the day’s regularly scheduled newscasts and programming and live interviews with Retired Brigadier General Jack Hammond, Executive Director of Home Base, among others.
