As we step into a new year, it is with immense gratitude and pride that we reflect on Home Base Florida’s journey in 2023. The collective effort of our community, donors, supporters, and the brave Veterans and Families we serve has propelled us to new heights. Together, we have accomplished remarkable milestones and set the stage for an exciting 2024.   

Last year was a testament to our commitment to expanding our reach and enhancing the services we provide. Our Behavioral Health Outpatient programs, in collaboration with Lee Health and David Lawrence Center, witnessed a significant 60% increase, allowing us to extend more than 1,000 direct clinical hours to care for 142 Veterans and Family Members. Furthermore, our expanded telehealth services further ensured that our Veterans or Families could access world-class care in ways that overcome traditional barriers to care and to meet the demands of their busy schedules.   

In the realm of health and wellness, the Warrior Health and Fitness program experienced a remarkable 78% growth, reaching 211 participants with tailored training and support. Our Intensive Clinical Program hosted at our national site saw an 87% increase in services. The Adventure Series flourished, offering over 800 Veterans and Family Members the chance to partake in a variety of free events, from Red Sox Spring Training games to Golf Outings and Pizza Socials.   

And now, as we embark through our 10th year, we are thrilled to celebrate a decade of providing necessary evidence-based care at absolutely no out of pocket cost to Veterans or Families. Looking ahead to 2024, we are excited about the myriad of new services, locations and events planned. From the 13th Annual Kensington Golf Tournament to the Red Sox Spring Training game where 150 Veterans and Family Members will be honored on the field, there is much to look forward to. We are particularly thrilled to announce our 10 Year Anniversary Gala – stay tuned for more details.
