Home Base Florida joins Wounded Warrior Project to Visit Puerto Rico to Expand Support for Veterans and Their Families

Armando Hernandez, Senior Director of Home Base Florida, and Angie De Lima, Projects Manager of Home Base Florida, recently embarked on a trip to Puerto Rico to promote and speak about the invaluable services provided by Home Base for Veterans and their Family Members. This five-day event was made possible through an invitation from the Warrior Care Network, and it presented a unique opportunity for our team to extend our support to Puerto Rican Veterans and Their loved ones.

During their time in Puerto Rico, Armando and Angie visited several Vet Centers across the island, including Hatillo, Ponce, and San Juan. These visits allowed them to connect directly with local Veterans, hear their stories, and understand their unique needs and challenges. The personal interactions were invaluable in building rapport and trust, laying the foundation for future collaboration and support.

Armando and Angie also participated in the Puerto Rico Resource Expo at Governor Pedro Roselló Convention Center, where they had the chance to share resources with the expo attendees on the comprehensive range of services provided by Home Base…

This trip holds immense significance as Puerto Rico has faced numerous challenges in recent times. By bringing the services and support of Home Base to the island, we aim to demonstrate our unwavering commitment and solidarity with Puerto Rican Veterans and their Family Members. We believe that every Veteran deserves access to comprehensive care and resources, regardless of their geographic location, and this visit marks a significant step in fulfilling that vision.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Warrior Care Network for extending this invitation to our team. We are incredibly excited about this opportunity to collaborate, learn, and make a positive impact in the lives of Puerto Rican Veterans and their families. Together, we will work towards a brighter future, providing the care, support, and respect that our Veterans so rightfully deserve.
