Adventure Series: Wachusett Mountain Ski and Snowboard Trip

Whether you’re a pro on the slopes or just starting out, join Home Base for our annual ski and snowboard trip to Wachusett Mountain! The highest point in Massachusetts east of the Connecticut River, just 1 hour from the Boston area, lies Boston’s favorite skiing and snowboarding destination. Wachusett boasts 25 trails and glades with a variety of terrain for all ability levels from a beginners-only ski area, to classic New England trails and steeps, to two terrain parks.

If you are an experienced skier or snowboarder and have your own equipment, please select “lift ticket only.” If you need to rent, select lift ticket and the type of rental you are looking for. If you are new to snowsports, welcome! Please select “lift ticket, rental equipment, and beginner lesson.” Children must be 9 years of age or older for the beginner package with rentals, though children as young as 3 years of age are welcome if they have their own equipment and do not need a lesson. Teenagers (13 years of age or older) are counted as adults. Intermediate, advanced, and young child (0-9 years of age) lessons are not offered through Home Base. Please also note that this is not an overnight trip, and Home Base does not pay for lodging on Adventure Series events.

We will meet at Wachusett Mountain in Westminster, Massachusetts at 9 am on Sunday, March 12th. Please arrive no later than 9 am. The lifts and rental shop close at 4 pm, so please return your rented equipment around 3:45 pm. The resort closes at 4:15 pm for the day. Parking is free at the mountain. It is also possible to take the ski train, leaving North Station at 7:20 am and arriving at Wachusett Station at 8:57 am, departing Wachusett Station at 6:00 pm and arriving back into Boston at North Station at 7:37 pm. If you are interested in adaptive skiing or snowboarding, please call or email Katherine Beavis at (617) 650-2796 or kbeavis@mgh.harvard.edu. Tickets are limited for this event and Home Base will likely run a lottery. Submit this form by Friday, February 17th, at 5 pm to be entered into the ticket lottery. Please note that we recommend filling out the Google survey on a computer rather than a mobile device, as there are many more questions than usual in order to collect rental information.
