Youngsuk Kim, PhD
Dr. Youngsuk Kim is a clinical psychologist in the Home Base Program, providing care in the Intensive Clinical Program and outpatient clinic. Dr. Kim has family members who served in the military and feels privileged to work with veterans and their families. Her clinical interests include trauma, anxiety, and mood disorders. Her research interests include 1) applying psychological models/treatments in various clinical settings, 2) brief psychological interventions, and 3) training and supervision.
Dr. Kim received her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin, completed an internship at Cambridge Health Alliance, and a postdoctoral fellowship at VA Boston Healthcare System. Dr. Kim also qualified as a clinical psychologist in the United Kingdom and completed a postgraduate diploma course in neuropsychology at the University of Nottingham. In the UK, she progressed to the lead psychologist in the mood disorders’ pathway for Cambridgeshire’s secondary adult mental health teams. Dr. Kim has extensive training and supervision experience and has led several service developments and evaluations.
