Scott Sorg, PhD
Dr. Scott Sorg is a Clinical Neuropsychologist who joined the Home Base team in 2022. He attended Northeastern University and completed his doctoral degree at the San Diego State University/University of California, San Diego Joint Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. He completed a pre-doctoral internship at the VA San Diego Healthcare System focused on neuropsychological assessment, cognitive rehabilitation and PTSD treatments for OEF/OIF/OND Veterans. Continuing his interest in Veteran health, his postdoctoral fellowships include the VA Puget Sound and an advanced VA fellowship in traumatic brain injury rehabilitation at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. Dr. Sorg’s clinical and research interests focus on cognitive outcomes following mild traumatic brain injury. Dr. Sorg is interested in multidisciplinary approaches toward integrating neuroimaging data with neuropsychological assessment to better inform the course, treatment and recovery following mild traumatic brain injury.
Dr. Sorg has a lifelong appreciation for our Service Members and Veterans owing to his family’s history of military service. Along with his activities at Home Base, Dr. Sorg enjoys Red Sox baseball and spending time with his family in the North Shore area and in Maine.
