Neha Penmetsa, MA, PsyD

Dr. Neha Penmetsa is a postdoctoral clinical fellow at Home Base. She completed her Master’s in Professional Psychology and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at William James College in Newton, Massachusetts, and earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology, with a minor in Crime, Law, and Society, from the College of Charleston.

Prior to joining Home Base, Neha completed her APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at the William Jennings Bryan Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina. There, she provided care to Veterans across a variety of settings including outpatient mental health, the Trauma Recovery Program, and the Suicide Prevention Program. Before her internship, she gained broad clinical experience through training in diverse settings including the Edith Nourse Rogers (Bedford) VA Healthcare System, Worcester Vet Center, private practice, and community mental health. These clinical experiences reinforced her commitment to serving Veterans and their families.

Neha has provided individual, couples, family, and group therapy across a wide range of clinical needs. She has received specialized training through the VA in Strength at Home, Reproductive Mental Health (including CBT for Menopause), and parenting psychoeducation. She is also certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).

Outside of Home Base, Neha enjoys spending time with her partner, exploring new restaurants, watching films, and going on walks.
