Mara Joy joins the Home Base team as a medical nurse practitioner after working for 9 years in Community Health. Mara started her career as a registered nurse at Community Health Center, Inc. in Connecticut. There she served a diverse population while earning her DNP from Quinnipiac University. Prior to Home Base, Mara worked as a family nurse practitioner treating patients of all ages at Thundermist Health Center, in Rhode Island. It was here that Mara developed her passion for treating those struggling with mental health and substance use.

Mara has the privilege of treating veterans in the Intensive Clinical Program and SOAR program.
