Linsey Mathew

Linsey Mathew is practicum student in the Outpatient program at Home Base. She is currently a 5th year Clinical Psychology PhD student at Suffolk University. She has trained at a variety of settings, including an outpatient OCD clinic, primary care unit, community mental health clinic, and the VA. During her time at the primary care unit, she noticed high rates of untreated traumatic stress among patients who were unable to access long-term treatment and wanted to learn more about how to make evidence-based interventions for PTSD more accessible. She has received training in Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR), and is looking forward to learning additional interventions, including Cognitive Processing Therapy, as well as running various groups in the Outpatient program at Home Base. A native of Pleasantville, NY, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the George Washington University, as well as a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Suffolk University.
