Kelly Field

Kelly Field joined the Home Base Marketing and Communication Team in June 2022.

Prior to joining Home Base, Kelly has held various Marketing and Communications roles including the Director of Public Affairs for the Natick Soldier Systems Center in Natick, Mass. Kelly also served the Public Affairs and Veteran Experience Officer at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center from 2016 – 2021. Her primary duties in these roles included leading Marketing and Outreach, Media Relations, Internal and External Communications, Strategic Initiatives and Stakeholder Relationships. Prior to her work with the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, she was the Public Affairs and Protocol Officer for the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine in Natick, Mass., from 2012-2016. 

Kelly also proudly served as a Human Resources and Public Affairs Army Captain in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. She held many positions of increasing responsibility including Brigade Assistant S-1, Public Affairs and Protocol Officer, and Battalion S-1. Kelly also deployed with the 26th Yankee Brigade to Kabul, Afghanistan where she served as the Public Affairs Officer and Joint Visitor Bureau Director for the Kabul Base Cluster.

Her military awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghan Campaign Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Medal and the NATO Medal. Civilian awards include 2 Army Achievement Medals for Civilian Service, the Department of Defense Thomas Jefferson Award for Best Publication, the Keith L. Ware Award for the Army’s Best Publication, and top 5 finalist for the Federal Government’s New Hire of the Year Award for the Greater Boston Federal Executive Board.

Kelly received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass.
