Kat Dunford, MSW, LICSW

Kat Dunford, MSW, LICSW is a licensed clinical social worker and Team Lead for the Outpatient Social Work Team. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Lesley University in Counseling with a specialization in Art Therapy and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston College with a certificate in clinical work with Veterans and Military Families.

Prior to Home Base, Kat completed her clinical internships in long-term care and oncology support services, providing individual and family counseling in the context of new diagnosis, co-occurring psychiatric and cognitive diagnoses, bereavement, and survivorship. She additionally has significant experience providing counseling, resource assistance, and crisis intervention in Emergency Department and inpatient medical settings focused on trauma, substance use, homelessness, and end-of-life care. Kat has particular clinical interest in working with caregivers, families impacted by substance use disorders, and individuals experiencing bereavement and grief.

At Home Base, Kat is honored work with active-duty service members, veterans, and their families in our outpatient clinic providing individual and group psychotherapy and case management.
