Emma Filchock
Emma graduated from Tufts University in 2025 with a B.S. in Clinical Psychology and an additional major in Race, Colonialism, and Diaspora Studies. As an undergraduate, Emma worked as a research assistant at the Center for OCD and Related Disorders at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. There, she conducted research on how cognitive and attentional processes affect intrusive thinking in individuals experiencing repetitive, negative thinking. Additionally, Emma interned at the New England Center for Children, assisting autistic children in the residential program with daily living tasks and implementing their individualized educational programs. Through her academic and professional experiences, she has developed a strong interest in making mental health care more accessible and culturally sensitive. After her time at Home Base, Emma hopes to pursue a PhD in either Clinical or Counseling Psychology. In her free time, you can find her trying out new coffee spots and playing Mario Kart with her friends!
