Elizabeth Goetter, PhD

Dr. Elizabeth Goetter is a clinical psychologist in the Center for Anxiety and Traumatic Stress Disorders and Home Base. Dr. Goetter received her M.S. and Ph.D. from Drexel University and completed her doctoral internship at the University of California, San Diego and San Diego VA Healthcare System.

Dr. Goetter has been trained in a variety of evidence-based assessment methods and cognitive behavioral therapies for PTSD, including Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.  She is also experienced in the treatment of other anxiety disorders, including social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.  Dr. Goetter’s clinical and research interests include the efficacy, dissemination, and utilization of empirically supported treatments for anxiety and traumatic stress disorders.  Dr. Goetter is a member of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT), Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS).
