Home Base marks Army-Navy Game’s first New England matchup with events at its National Center of Excellence

BOSTON, MA – Leading up to the 2023 Army-Navy Game – which will be played in New England for the first time in its 124-year history at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA on Saturday, December 9 – Home Base hosted a clinic expansion kickoff on Wednesday, December 6, followed by an open house and Families of the Fallen reception on Thursday, December 7, at its National Center of Excellence in Charlestown, MA.

The Home Base National Center of Excellence is the nation’s first and largest private sector clinic devoted to providing lifesaving clinical care and support for the treatment of the invisible wounds of war for Veterans, Service Members, Military Families and Families of the Fallen, and the only private sector clinic of its kind in New England.

On Wednesday afternoon, in partnership with Suffolk and the Wounded Warrior Project, Home Base hosted an expansion kickoff of the Suffolk Innovation Clinic and Wounded Warrior Project Brain Health and Special Operations Performance Clinic (pictured below).

Featured speakers included Home Base Executive Director Retired Brigadier General Jack Hammond and Chief Operating Officer Michael Allard, Suffolk Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John Fish, Wounded Warrior Project Chief Financial Officer Eric Miller and Massachusetts’ first Secretary of the Executive Office of Veterans’ Services Jon Santiago.

Senator Elizabeth Warren and House Minority Whip Katherine Clark of Massachusetts generously provided video messages for the attendees to watch at the event.

The following evening, Home Base hosted an open house and reception to honor Families of the Fallen, presented by the Ben Franklin Global Forum and Hanscom Federal Credit Union (HFCU) Charitable Foundation (pictured below).

Welcome remarks were provided by General Hammond, Allard, Ben Franklin Global Forum Chairman Bob Daniels, HFCU President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Rice and the Honorable Carlos Del Toro, the 78th Secretary of the Navy.
