Hosted by Home Base, Resilient First Responder is an eight-session, educational, mind-body course that helps First Responders — police officers, law enforcement personnel, firefighters, emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and dispatchers — manage their stress more effectively.
The fundamental principle of this program is that while people may not be able to control stressful events, they can learn to control their response to stress and, in turn, improve their ability to adapt more effectively to stress.
Resilient First Responder was developed in collaboration with the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at Mass General and is offered by Lieutenant Rich Robinson of Safety Advisors for Educators and Responders, who recently retired from the Newtown, CT Police Department.
