Home Base Arizona recipient of $75,000 gift from Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation

DANA POINT, CALIF. – Home Base Arizona was honored to be named one of six beneficiaries of the 26th annual San Manuel Golf Tournament, held from July 23-27, 2025, at Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, Calif.
The tournament brought together more than 920 golfers and raised $450,000 in support of local charities, recognizing Home Base Arizona and its mission to heal the invisible wounds of war for Veterans, Service Members, Military Families and Families of the Fallen at no out-of-pocket cost to them, as one of this year’s recipients.
The $75,000 gift from the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation will offer Home Base Arizona the ability to invest in areas of greatest need across the Southwest, including supporting Native American Warriors and their Families.
“The recipients were thoughtfully selected to reflect Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation’s spirit of Yawa’ – a Serrano value meaning ‘to act on one’s beliefs’ – and to drive lasting impact for seven generations within the pillars of education, economic development, health and cultural preservation,” said Jessica Stops, Vice President of Tribal Brand Marketing & Strategic Initiatives Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation. “Over the past 26 years, Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation and Yaamava’ Resort & Casino at San Manuel have welcomed companies, agencies and tribal partners to join this tradition of collective giving at the San Manuel Golf Tournament, generating over $4.5 million in support of more than 70 charitable organizations.”
Marcus Denetdale, Regional Associate Director of Southwest and Tribal Relations, Home Base Arizona, attended the tournament to network with fellow attendees and provide information about Home Base Arizona, including its efforts to provide Native American Warriors and their Families access to mental health care programs in person in the Southwest and at the Home Base National Center of Excellence in Boston, as well as virtually.
“We deeply appreciate the sincere generosity of the Tribal Leaders of Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation, San Manuel Cares and San Manuel golf tournament attendees to support our Warriors and their loved ones’ paths to healing their invisible wounds,” said Denetdale. “Together, we proudly continue our mission to provide gold-standard mental health care at no out-of-pocket cost.”
