The many challenges of the pandemic including stress, anxiety, and isolation, caused an increase in mental health challenges for our Veterans and a spike in suicides amongst our military members. The recent triggering effects of the evacuation from Afghanistan and growing humanitarian crisis has made a bad situation worse and created a perfect storm of events that will require our clinical staff to grow to meet the needs of our warriors and families.
