Honoring the Fallen: Home Base Arizona at Boeing’s Memorial Day Ceremony
This Memorial Day, Home Base Arizona had the distinct honor of participating in Boeing’s employee-led Memorial Day ceremony in Mesa. The event, hosted by Boeing’s BVets (Boeing Veterans) Employee Resource Group, brought together employees, community partners, and military representatives to pay tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

The ceremony opened with a moving presentation of the colors by the Luke Air Force Base Color Guard. Their precision and presence set a solemn and respectful tone for the event. Speakers from the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University offered heartfelt reflections. Community partners, including Home Base Arizona, were recognized for our continued support of Veterans and their families.
After the ceremony, our team connected with BVets members and Boeing employees to share more about our mission and programs, including our local Warrior Health & Fitness (WHF) program. Many attendees were hearing about Home Base Arizona for the first time, and we were grateful for the chance to raise awareness of the services we offer to help Veterans and their families heal from the invisible wounds of war.
Boeing also graciously invited us on a tour of their Apache helicopter production line. It was an incredible experience to witness firsthand the craftsmanship and care that go into producing equipment designed to protect and bring our service members home safely.
Home Base Arizona extends deepest thanks to Boeing and the BVets ERG for inviting us to be part of such a meaningful day. We are honored to stand alongside organizations and individuals who are equally committed to supporting those who serve and sacrifice for our country.
