Home Base Florida’s commitment to providing enriching experiences for Veterans, Active-Duty Service Members, and Their Families reached new heights in the fiscal year of 2023 with a record-breaking year for their Adventure Series program. This initiative offers a wide array of FREE events and activities, made possible through collaborations with businesses and non-profit community organizations throughout Florida.

In the past year, Home Base Florida celebrated unprecedented success, with over 800 attendees participating in the Adventure Series. Veterans and Their Families were treated to a diverse range of experiences, including being honored on the field at the Boston Red Sox Spring Training game, attending Florida Everblades hockey games, participating in golf tournaments like the Kensington Golf Tournament, enjoying a free day cruise with Freedom Waters, hosting movie nights at CMX Cinemas, attending pizza socials and bingo nights, and engaging in free pickleball lessons from Naples Pickleball Center.

The Adventure Series went above and beyond this year, offering unique opportunities such as free golf lessons from Copperleaf Country Club, introductory Brazilian jiu-jitsu sessions at Gracie Belle, and volunteer experiences with organizations like Shy Wolf Sanctuary, Habitat for Humanity, and Animal Rescue Center. These events provided meaningful moments of joy, camaraderie, and skill-building for participants.
