Adventure Series: Cranmore Mountain Resort Ski & Snowboard Trip

Whether you’re a pro on the slopes or just starting out, join Home Base for our annual ski and snowboard trip to Cranmore Mountain! Located in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire, just 2.5 hours from the Boston area lies New Hampshire favorite skiing and snowboarding destination. Cranmore is a 4-season, family-friendly ski resort known for its ski school, sunny, south-facing slopes, and a festive atmosphere geared for skiers and non-skiers alike. Cranmore boasts 56 trails and glades with a variety of terrain for all ability levels from a beginners-only ski area, to classic New England trails and steeps, to three terrain parks. Fairbank Lodge is undergoing a major renovation this year, so base camp might look a little different. There are heated portable restrooms, portable locker space, and a 3,000 square foot cafeteria called the BBQ Barn, where guests can put on their boots and store some things on a first-come, first-served basis. There are permanent restrooms in all other locations on the mountain and more cubbies elsewhere.

If you are an experienced skier or snowboarder and have your own equipment, please select “lift ticket only.” If you need to rent, select lift ticket and the type of rental you are looking for. If you are new to snowsports, welcome! Please select “lift ticket, rental equipment, and beginner lesson.” Children must be 6 years of age or older for ski lessons and 7 years of age or older for snowboard lessons. Teenagers (13 years of age or older) are counted as adults. Intermediate, advanced, and toddler (3-5 years of age) lessons are not offered through Home Base. Please also note that this is not an overnight trip, and Home Base does not pay for lodging on Adventure Series events.

We will meet at Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire at 8 am on Sunday, February 5th. Please arrive no later than 9 am. The lifts and rental shop close at 4 pm, so please return your rented equipment around 3:45 pm. The resort closes at 4:15 pm for the day. Parking is free at the mountain. If you are interested in adaptive skiing or snowboarding, please call or email Katherine Beavis at (617) 650-2796 or kbeavis@mgh.harvard.edu. Tickets are limited for this event and Home Base will likely run a lottery. Submit this form by Wednesday, January 11th, at 5 pm to be entered into the ticket lottery. Please note that we recommend filling out the Google survey on a computer rather than a mobile device, as there are many more questions than usual in order to collect rental information.
