Adult Veterans or Service Members with problematic substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns are eligible for the SOAR Program, regardless of Military discharge status. Individuals are also not required to be in individual therapy to participate. This program is not suitable for individuals requiring detox or who are primarily seeking alternative treatments for chronic pain.
What is the SOAR Program?
The SOAR Program is an intensive outpatient recovery program for substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions, such as post-traumatic stress, anxiety and depression. Veterans and Service Members receive professional support and evidence-based care to help meet their individual recovery goals and needs. Both mental health and substance use concerns will be treated at the same time, in the same place and by the same treatment team at Home Base. Family support and education is also available for loved ones.
Currently, the SOAR Program is fully virtual. Veterans and Service Members can participate from anywhere within the state of Massachusetts on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday from 3:00-4:30 pm ET for 4-8 weeks.
