Sydney Brigido joins the Home Base team as a clinical social work intern, providing support in the Intensive Clinical Program (ICP). Sydney currently attends Boston College, where she will be graduating with her Masters in Social Work degree in the Spring of 2024. In her first-year graduate internship, Sydney worked as a school social work intern at a Boston public high school where she worked with high-risk, low-income youth and families connecting them with social programing across the city of Boston. Sydney has a long-standing passion and interest in serving the specific needs of the service member and veteran community. Prior to her graduate studies, she worked in clinical research for the US Department of Veterans Affairs investigating non-medication treatment for veterans experiencing combat related PTSD. Sydney is excited to be joining the Home Base team and returning to serving the needs of service members and their families.
