Julia Hackel is a clinical social worker and a graduate from Simmons School of Social Work. She is rejoining the Home Base Intensive Clinical Program (ICP) team now as an employee, following the completion of her clinical internship at Home Base. Julia previously interned at a community-based mental health day treatment program, where she ran a therapy group on emotions and provided individual counseling. At Home Base, she provides case management, group therapy, and helps veterans, service members, and their families through program admissions. Julia’s clinical interests include working with people who have experienced trauma, incorporating mindfulness into Western therapeutic approaches, and connecting to the whole person through a holistic approach to therapy. She enjoys dancing, nature, and traveling the world.
