Ginger Polich, MD

Ginger Polich is an Instructor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specializing in brain injury medicine. She received a BA in Anthropology from Amherst College. She later attended the Joint Medical Program (JMP), receiving a MS in Health Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley and an MD from the University of California, San Francisco. She completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and fellowship in Brain Injury Medicine at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital.

At Home Base, Dr. Polich treats Veterans with traumatic brain injuries, including repetitive blast injury. Dr. Polich also works at Brigham and Women’s Hospital on the inpatient consultation service and as an outpatient brain injury specialist through the Center for Brain Mind Medicine (CBMM). She is interested in psychosomatic medicine, neurobehavioral disorders, explanatory models for illness, mechanisms of resiliency, and brain-health interventions.
