Emily Lubin

Emily graduated Summa Cum Laude from Colgate University in 2021 with a B.A. in Psychological and Brain Sciences and a minor in Sociology. As an undergraduate, she worked as a research assistant in labs studying social cognition and child development and also as a psycho-social intern providing support for adolescents with executive functioning challenges and other clinical diagnosis. Her senior thesis, which was accepted with High Honors, focused on the relationship between social support and mental well-being during the transition to college in the context of the pandemic. Outside of the classroom, Emily served as a first year orientation leader and year-long mentor and volunteered with a support organization for survivors of sexual assault on her campus. These experiences have deepened Emily’s interest in trauma, psychopathology and the relationship between social support and clinical outcomes. After her time at Home Base, Emily plans to pursue a PhD in Clinical Psychology.
