Juliana is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who has been working as a therapist for the last fifteen years. She earned her Bachelors of Science (BS) in Family Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park and her Master of Social Work (MSW) from Simmons University. Prior to joining Home Base, Juliana has worked as both a clinician and supervisor in community mental health at Riverside Community Care and at VA Boston, engaging in individual, family, and couples counseling in the Serious Mental Illness Clinic. Juliana is VA certified in Behavioral Family Therapy (BFT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and has advanced training in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as well as Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. Juliana is honored to serve servicemembers and their partners as a couples therapist at Home Base.
