Adventure Series for Veterans and Families

Join other Veterans and their Families for FREE activities to strengthen family bonds before, during and after military deployment. Veterans and Families may explore a new sport, meet other Veterans and Military Families, and learn more about the clinical services, education, and research offered by Home Base. Home Base collaborates with businesses and non-profit community organizations throughout New England who host the Adventure Series activities. Past activities include: skiing, skating, and museum visits in the winter and sailing, attending baseball games, and other sports in the summer time. Events are open to both adaptive and able-bodied participants.

Mudflat Pottery – Daddy/Mommy and Me
March 23, 2019 (2:00PM-4:00PM)

Join us on March 23rd, 2019, for Daddy/Mommy and Me pottery with Mudflat Studio. We welcome 10-12 Veterans and/or Service Members to bring 1-2 children each aged 5 and up.

Warrior Ice Arena Ice Skating
April 6, 2019 (4:00PM-6:00PM)

On Saturday, April 6th, we are partnering with Warrior Ice Arena – the practice facility of the Boston Bruins – to host a private skating event for Veterans, Service Members, and their Families. All skill levels are welcome to come! Rentals and fun skating aids will be available free of charge, so come check out the facilities, skate a couple laps around the rink, and take a selfie with the Bruins logo at center ice.
