On the Home Front: Home Base Community Support Groups for Military Families

Support Groups at Home Base for Military Parents and Significant Others

Being part of a Military Family can be filled with many surprises, challenges, and opportunities. Recognizing the realities Military life can bring – multiple deployments, frequent moves, long separations, and reintegration – this fall, Home Base will relaunch our long-running support groups for Military parents and introduce a new community location for our Military spouses and Partners support group.

Led by Bonnie Ohye, Ph.D., Outpatient Clinical Director at Home Base, and Shiri Cohen, Ph.D., Director of Couples Services at Home Base, both support groups are aimed to bring parents and significant others together to foster ongoing peer connection. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in discussion topics related to military deployment integration challenges.
